…Gulliford left the council interested in producing more affordable housing, which is a serious statewide issue. Florida does not want to follow California’s lead where so many working families find it nearly impossible to afford a home.

Jacksonville, however, is blessed in having two outstanding entities that lead in affordable housing: the nonprofit Ability Housing and Vestcor.
