Housing must be a priority in our economic recovery

Central Florida has seen progress in addressing the significant shortage of housing that is affordable to low-wage working families: Metro Orlando moved from the worst in the country to No. 7 on a list of cities with the greatest affordable housing shortage.

This is because of a concerted focus by our community to develop more housing that is affordable to all households, and it is something we should celebrate. But it does not mean we can declare success. In fact, it means we must use this momentum to push forward and do more.
