First affordable apartment community opens in St. Augustine area, offering workforce housing to retain residents

The Village of New Augustine, a 92-unit affordable housing development in West Augustine, is welcoming its first residents. The community offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments for households earning 60% of the area median income or below. News4JAX reports the development is among the first large-scale affordable apartment communities in St. Johns County, a region where rising housing costs have long outpaced options for working families.
